Public Programming Assistant at Poole Museums (Maternity Cover - up to 1 year Temporary Contract)

We have a great opportunity for someone interested in working on exhibitions, events and other activities in Dorset’s most popular museum and busiest free attraction.

Poole Museums run an exciting public programme for a wide range of audiences, including major exhibitions in association with national and regional museums and other organisations. Poole Museums are part of the Wessex Museums Partnership and will be developing and delivering new programming with partners as an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation 2018-22.

This is an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of our public offer, supporting the Public Programming and Learning Manager to deliver a varied and complex range of programmes and projects.

This is a full-time post, covering maternity leave for a period of up to 1 year, which would particularly suit an organised person with administrative experience who is keen to work for a museum or arts organisation or is already working in the sector and looking for progression. A sound understanding and working knowledge of computer aided design would also be greatly beneficial in fulfilling the cover of this post.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Rebecca Rossiter on 01202 262623.
