Fixed term for 12 months, Full Time (37 hours per week) (starting salary £17,681 pa)
An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Chapel Attendant/Crematorium Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract at Poole Crematorium which is owned and operated by the Borough of Poole. The Council currently provides services and facilities for some 2700 cremation services each year as well as 215 burials and we are looking for a person to be part of a small hardworking team providing the highest level of customer service to bereaved families, visitors and stakeholders alike.
The successful person will need to have excellent inter-personal skills as well as a highly flexible and organised approach for the role at hand. You will be a proactive team player and possess a ‘can do’ attitude for all that you encounter. Significant attention to detail, coupled with an ability to work with minimal supervision and show empathy and sensitivity is key, whilst confidence and good general experience with IT equipment and software would be a distinct advantage.
The hours worked will be Monday to Friday from 08:30-16:30 each day. There may be occasional overtime required which will be paid.
