This is an exciting time to join Adult Social Care.  We are a jointly managed service with Bournemouth Borough Council and are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the role of managing our shared AMHP Hub.

The successful applicant will be employed by Poole and seconded to act for Bournemouth Borough Council as part of our preparations to form a new Council in April 2019.  The role will TUPE into the newly formed Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.

You will be an experienced AMHP and have management experience.  You will work closely with the Strategic AMHP Lead to ensure the Council meets its duty to provide sufficient AMHP’s and meet service demands for Mental Health Act assessments.

You will take a direct role in ensuring local AMHPs receive good quality CPD and support.  This will include providing professional Supervision to some AMHPs and supporting the Strategic AMHP Lead to ensure our AMHPs receive sufficient CPD and get successfully through the Warranting process.

The post is based at St. Anns Hospital, with the AMHP Hub, which consists of six full time AMHPs, Practice Manager and administrator; the service is supported by a rota of other AMHPs based in other Teams from across Poole and Bournemouth.

The AMHP Hub triage all referrals and ensure that they are prioritised, in addition to being a ‘hub’ of advice and support to all AMHPs and other professionals across the two local authorities.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Sarah Webb on 01202 458949.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the community and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. Applicants to this post will be required to complete the appropriate level of Disclosure & Barring Service Check. Please refer to the Person Specification for more details.
