As our Tenancy Support Officer, your key role will be to identify and incentivise social housing tenants who are under-occupying their current property, to find a property more suited to their needs, supporting them with all personal and practical aspects of the move.
You will have strong communication and motivational skills, with the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds and from all sectors of the community. With the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising your work effectively and using your own initiative, although part of a supportive team you will be comfortable working without a high level of supervision.
You should have knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector support services and a basic understanding of public and private sector housing and of welfare and benefit rights.
